Find pages & records

Use workspace search to navigate and find records from apps you can access.

Use the search control in the Opser workspace or press ⌘ K on macOS and Ctrl K on Windows and Linux. Search helps you open a page or find a record without walking through the sidebar.

This is separate from the search on this documentation site. Workspace search uses your signed-in access. Docs search only reads public guides.

Type the name of a page, app, or setting. The navigation results reflect destinations available to you. Select a result to open it, or close search with Escape to return to your current work.

If a destination is missing, check whether the app is installed and whether your account has permission to open it. A different search term will not reveal a page you cannot access.

Find business records

The search can also ask installed apps for matching records. An app must expose its search capability, and results are filtered by access. You may see records from several apps in one search, but this does not mean every field or file in the workspace is indexed.

Use a distinctive name or identifier. Open the result to inspect the authoritative record in its app. If an expected record is absent, check the app's own search and your record-level access.

Continue with your agent

You can also ask your agent to find a page or record, list an app's pages, or open a page for you. The agent checks that the page exists and that you can access it before opening it, and keeps the conversation beside the page so you can follow its work. Scheduled runs do not open pages on your screen.

The search interface can offer to hand a question to the agent when you want investigation rather than navigation. Give the agent the source and the outcome you need. A record search finds candidates; the agent can use supported tools to compare them or complete a task.

When building an app, include searchable primary records in its requirements. Read Inside an app for the interface and tool capabilities that make an app usable across the workspace.
